What inspired you to launch your own website?
The idea of marketing ourselves. We going to in the near future launch our main website as we grow.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We wanted something that would describe us and give us the flair. "Gala" means "event" and "Glam" is "glamorous". So we want a glamorous event for our clients.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To grow and spread out in more areas as we have done so in expanding to unique gifts.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We found that the more heart we put into this business, the more successful stories we can tell.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would focus our funds on marketing and targeting the right group.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. Many people are interested in being a part of Gala Glam. We have people on call and people who submitted resumes to us.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Setting the prices was difficult. We want it to be economical and fair. We found ways to keep our cost low so that we can pass on the savings to the clients. We want to produce the same value and quality, but with a great reasonable price.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Targeting the right audience and finding out what could grab people's attention.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Posting our work and our creations on public directories help out clients become aware of our business as well as what our services offered.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This particular site was relaunched again recently. We gave it a whole new look and feel. We are planning on launching our own website in the near future.
